Bombshell Brownies

Craving chocolate is an everyday thing for me. I’ve already posted my go-to recipe for a chocolate fix: Chocolate Chip Mugger. A week or so ago, however, I didn’t have any chocolate chips. So, I concocted this recipe using this one as the cliff I jumped off. After you eat these I know you will agree that I landed in Mr. Wonka’s fantastic chocolate river. Heaven! I love using brown sugar more than white in my baked goods. I think it complements the chocolate flavor quite nicely. Please let me know if you love them as much as my family did!

Bombshell Brownies

3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 heaping tsp salt
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
3/4 cup melted butter
2 tsp vanilla
3 eggs

1.     Grease an 8x8 baking dish. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
2.     Mix the dry ingredients first in a medium bowl.
3.     Add the wet ingredients. Stir with a spoon or whisk just until combined.
4.     Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
5.     Add “hot dang!” to your vocabulary when you bite into one of these fantastic chocolate concoctions!

  1. These look amazing and I totally agree about the brown sugar. I only use white in some cakes that need to be really light, but otherwise, I much prefer the flavor that brown sugar brings to the dessert. xx

  18. OMGoodness! These look absolutely sinful, but in such a good way! It looks like you allowed it to be slightly under-cooked for that added gooeyness, is that right?

    1. I'm all about under cooking brownies! The slightly lower oven temp helps keep it from getting over cooked too. Thanks for stopping by!
